Ed

Ed was thrust into the professional dog world when he met his wife who showed and worked her dogs (AKC, UKC, Schutzhund, obedience training, etc.). He quickly noticed that in some aspects of the “professional” dog world not only was it not about the dog, but it was promoted to hinder the dog’s growth and development. He developed the web based network, the DelMango Network (headed up by Casa Del Mango).

His frustration reached a critical point when he came across two major roadblocks. First, most “good” domains for a news site were taken and very expensive to purchase. Second - ad placements to help fund these purchases (especially at the level Ed was at) primarily promoted puppy mills, back yard breeders, fly-by-night trainers, etc which none of them he wanted to promote on his site.

Ed did slowly build up a small portfolio to help promote ethical treatment of dogs (FCI standards, CGC training, drive, responsible ownership, etc.) and with his wife’s help built up a network of people who shared similar ideas. Unfortunately though, he still couldn’t find a one-size-fits-all solution for overall dog health, care, and treatment. He also learned where the problems exist and ways to avoid them - most of the time it is the owner who is at fault, not the dog (he was once challenged by a pit bull (one step below being attacked) - he didn’t blame the dog, he blamed the owner).

Down the road Ed met up with Scott, who had the perfect domain (PupWorld.com) but didn’t have access to good article writers who would share the same beliefs that he did. The two reached the agreement that they would work together and build up this site.
